Protection of the Environment

Construction and operation of the Bobcat Gas Storage Project has and will continue to have minimal impacts on the environment and on nearby landowners. The storage facility itself is located in a previously farmed land away from residential developments. The pipeline routes were designed to utilize existing pipelines corridors and existing rights-of-way.

The compressors and other equipment were designed and constructed to limit sound and air emissions and comply with all applicable state and federal guidelines. The Bobcat Gas Storage facility is surrounded by a buffer of trees, which help to minimize both visual and noise impacts on the surrounding area. Now operational, the project cannot be heard or seen from Highway 190 (the nearest major road to the Project).

Bobcat's underground caverns are being solution mined using water withdrawn from two raw water supply wells that Bobcat will drill. These wells were constructed and are operating in compliance with regulations of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Office of Public Works. Brine created in the solution mining process has and will continue to be disposed of through brine disposal wells that were drilled, completed and are operating in compliance with requirements of the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, Office of Conservation.

Throughout cavern development and at cavern completion, Bobcat will confirm each cavern’s shape by sonar imaging, and Bobcat will test each cavern for mechanical integrity before gas is injected.

Cavern 1 has passed its mechanical integrity test.

Cavern 2 will be tested before being placed into service.

Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Review and Approval

On July 20, 2006, Bobcat received authorizations from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to construct and operate its gas storage facility in St. Landry Parish, LA. The FERC certificate gave Bobcat the necessary federal approvals necessary to construct and operate its facility.

The application included detailed information about the project and about its effects on the environment and on nearby landowners. The FERC evaluated these impacts as part of its process of deciding whether to authorize project construction.

Project Information The first phase of the Bobcat Gas Storage Project will be placed into service on November 1, 2008. Bobcat will continue to expand its facility providing additional service in 2009. Storage Services Information

Open Season

Bobcat has concluded its open season for the remaining capacity in Cavern 1 and all of the capacity in Cavern 2.

Bobcat thanks all bidders who participated in our open season process. Bobcat is in the process of executing contracts for the bids that were accepted.

Community Investment Fund

Bobcat has established a Community Investment Fund to provide financial support to worthwhile projects that will benefit the communities of St. Landry Parish. Bobcat has committed $10,000 for 2008, with $5,000 dedicated to the town of Port Barre, where our project is located.

Bobcat will select projects and provide funding quarterly - our first projects will be awarded funding in January 2008.

Storage services serve as a buffer between production, transportation and distribution to consumers to ensure that adequate supplies of natural gas are available during seasonal demand shifts, unexpected demand surges or unexpected weather outages. Bobcat is committed to employing a collaborative approach in establishing good relationships with the landowners and local community who will be the neighbors of Bobcat’s facilities. Bobcat has selected routes that minimize environmental and landowner impacts by using existing pipeline and road rights-of-way as much as possible. Bobcat will provide fair and equitable compensation to landowners whose land will be crossed, using fair market value measures, and will pay fairly for any damages to crops or other affected property.

Bobcat is an active member of the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce and is always looking for ways to positively impact the local Port Barre and St. Landry Parish communities.
